Summary: Why would anyone want to steal Pokémon? Why would anyone ID a 10-year-old, holding them up while they are trying to heal a Pokémon? The all-powerful Pokedex solves everything! Team Rocket seems really cool from their opening monologues; Jessie’s hair is stunning. Ash has a father; will we ever see him? Ash is also changing his underwear every day; will we see that? Ash is enamored with the three legendary birds on the wall, and…. Arcanine? Professor Oak boils his noodles in beakers, another example of his perfection. I want to learn more about Professor Oak’s gambling problem. Misty needs a new bike, and Ash needs Pikachu to heal. Luckily, Team Rocket slips up and the Pikachu saves the day. Will Ash capture the Caterpie?
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Ekans, they told that Rattata to get the hell out of here.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, I promise this will not be the answer every episode, but they had to set up this dynamic early.
One thing I learned: Officer Jenny has a sweet motorcycle.
Pikachu-o-meter: 4/5, Pikachu is incapacitated the whole episode, but saved the day.
