Airdate: June 10th, 1997
Summary: The gang is lost, and Ash is thirsty for more Pokémon. Misty is going crazy, and gives Brock a Hitmonlee kick. They run across a Charmander, who is not down to be caught. He sure has a lot of spunk. Ash has finished his Pikachu translation course, and the gang heads to the Pokémon Center as rain pours. Charmander is left out in the cold by a real asshat named Damian. He doesn’t give a shit about Charmander, luckily our crew has some humanity. Brock is hot for Nurse Joy, we got his quota in. Charmander is still on that rock, protected by that leaf, and the gang protect it from some Spearow to take it back to the Pokémon Center. Charmander makes a full recovery, but is still tethered to that rock, it has some serious Stockholm Syndrome. Team Rocket has a new toy, it looks kind of dangerous…. And it drills holes. Meowth is easily the smartest one in the crew. He is tired of Jessie and James’s predictability. Yet.. the gang falls into the hole, Team Rocket gets in their COVID-19 suits, and takes Pikachu. Is that Charmander’s music?! He takes out Team Rocket, and Damian rather easily. What a king. Ash adds a friend for the second straight episode. I wonder if he will make it three in a row… Finally, fuck Damian.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Charmander, Rage against the Team Rocket.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Damian, because fuck you Damian.
One thing I learned: You can be squeezed and consumed by a balloon.
Pikachu-o-meter: 3/5, this dude scares too easily for such a power-packed mouse, but he did scare those Spearow.
