Summary: Our friends and Team Rocket are stranded on an island, with no money or Pokémon. Its time for…. POKEMON SUBTITLES! Pikachu and Charmander reach out to a Slowpoke, who is speechless. Squirtle is the trouble-maker, Bulbasaur is still broody, Charmander is naïve, and Pikachu is confident they will find Ash. Meowth takes over the Team Rocket motto, but Ekans and Koffing don’t take orders from some Pokémon. We got some insight into the pseudo-slavery dynamic of Pokémon, but these Pokémon get humanized as well.. so.. don’t think to hard or else watching this might get too intellectual. Holy shit it’s a mega-Rhydon, Pikachu helps Meowth escape and our Pokefriends run off. Ash, Misty and Brock are attacked by a mega Zapdos, Team Rocket by a Moltres. The Pokémon are drowning their sorrows at Slowbro’s bar, Bulbasaur is an angry drunk. Team Rocket call Giovanni in a phone booth, but they get kicked off the call. More mega Pokémon appear, and Squirtle thinks he can speak to Mega Blastoise. Not gonna work. After some commotion, our friends are reconnected with their Pokémon, James is clairvoyant, and Pokémonland is destroyed. Porta Vista!!!
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Pikachu, a great island tour guide.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Meowth, none of the Pokémon trust him, not even Ekans or Koffing.
One thing I learned: Jessie and James do not know how to drive a stick.
Pikachu-o-meter: 5/5, leading our young Pokémon through several emotional crises.
