Summary: Our friends are stuck in Porta Vista, they spot a beat-up Horsea who has a grave warning. A boat blows up in the harbor, Staryu to the rescue, HYUUUUUUUUU. The gang gets pointed to a woman named Nastina, who tries to employ them to protect the resort by driving the Tentacool and Tentacruel away. Misty says no, citing her love for water Pokémon, her head is in the clouds, but her heart is true. Horsea warns of more Tentacool, and Nastina puts a public bounty of 1,000,000 dollars to destroy them, isn’t Nastina generous. Team Rocket takes it upon themselves to take care of Nastina’s problem, and they have a boat and spunk. The Tentacool are raging, and Team Rocket’s secret sauce supersizes a Tentacruel, who moves into the city and destroys Nastina’s theme park. This episode just got deep with some environmental commentary, looks like humans, once again, don’t give a shit about coral reefs. Horsea confronts Tentacruel, who is talking through their Meowthpiece (thank you, thank you), and gets thrown into Horsea’s arms, Pidgeotto (criminally underrated) catches it. The Tentacool are shuttled back to the sea, but Misty reasons with Tentacruel who leaves back to the sea. The city is in ruins, but Tentacruel doesn’t fully exit until Nastina is yeeted.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Misty, what a great Misty episode.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Nastina, fuck Nastina.
One thing I learned: Nastina employs a bevy of manservants.
Pikachu-o-meter: 4/5, riding on Pidgeotto is dope, that bird is criminally underrated.
Best Quote: “There’s a girl who can’t be bought” -Nastina
Best Scene: Pikachu sipping some gin and juice in the pool.
