Summary: We reach another cliff near the ocean, and Brock is talking about babies, Butterfree babies that is. Up in a hot air balloon, Ash’s Butterfree is doing some in-air speed dating, with little success. Butterfree falls in love with a pink one, and Brock falls in love with the girl with purple hair. Butterfree is stunting with that courtship dance, but gets rejected with a big slap across the face. Our man is really taking it hard, shot down in its prime. Misty and Ash hype Butterfree up, and teach Brock a thing or two. Perhaps a new scarf will do the trick… nope. Luckily, Team Rocket is here to stir up trouble, lending Butterfree an opportunity to save the day. The Rocket Gang does some networking, and Butterfree takes on a chopper. The chopper gets lost, but Butterfree scopes their warehouse. He breaks in, the gang recites their own motto and take on Team Rocket while Butterfree chivalrously rescues his pink Butterfree and those other captured butterflies. Team Rocket doesn’t take a hint, and keeps after the escaped Butterfree, the gang take their air balloon, and Pikachu rides Butterfree, hops on the chopper, and blasts Team Rocket into space. Now Butterfree has that pink lady stuntin, and the two decide to make babies. Ash and his boy part ways, a truly heartbreaking scene. He fades away in the setting sun, leaving me in tears.
