Summary: The gang hits up a stink-filled industrial hellscape, and Pikachu is feeling blue. Team Rocket is equipped with some deep-water diving equipment, and cooks up a plan. Ash looks good in his pink gloves, and Nurse Joy is unfeeling, but thinks Pikachu will be fine. The Grimer block the energy generators’ water intake valve. Jessie and James lose all of their oxygen and almost pass out. Ash goes to investigate the Power Plant, and Pikachu won’t let himself be abandoned. Magnemite follows Pikachu, and so do Team Rocket. Magnemite is in love with Pikachu, and Pikachu is not down to be stalked. A horde of Grimer push the gang and two engineers into the control room. Muk pushes over he pile, but our mechanical magnet bodies Magnemite and Magneton chase those purple globs away. Only one Muk is left, and Magnemite and Pikachu turn it into fried sludge. Ash catches Muk, and adds a stinky new addition to the team. Pikachu is all better after becoming demagnetized. Magnemite doesn’t want any low-energy scrubs. Team Rocket is late to the party and gets sunk by some Magnemite. It took three little kids, but this town finally gets that they are ruining the water and air around them, good work folks. Meanwhile, Professor Oak gets a smelly, cuddly surprise.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Magnemite and Magneton, they saved the day.

One thing I learned: Some Magnemite are electricity whores.
Pikachu-o-meter: 5/5, big Pikachu episode, what a fighter.
Best Quote: “The smell comes through the Pokeball” -Ash
Best Scene: Muk getting shocked.
