Airdate: April 16th, 1998
Summary: The gang discovers an Eevee abandoned in a tree. They make their way to Stone Town, and everyone is evolving their Pokémon, you should do it too! Team Rocket sees a bunch of Pokémon worth pilfering. The dudes administering this evolution party say they know Eevee, and Mikey chastises are friends for bringing Eevee back. Mikey doesn’t care about battles, while his brothers try to strong-arm him into making Eevee a Jolteon, Vaporean, or Flareon. Mikey explains that he just wants Eevee to be his best friend, and doesn’t want it to evolve. Misty helps counsel him; he is supposed to face his problems head on. Team Rocket attacks, Weezing throws a smokescreen, Pidgeotto (criminally underrated) gusts the smog away to find that they stole the Pokémon, the food, everything. Team Rocket hides in the forest, but Horsea with its trail of ink led our gang right to them. Misty calls Jessie an old hag and she evolves into a fire-breathing dragon. The Eevee brothers battle for Mikey, and use their combined powers to free Eevee. With the Pokémon exhausted, Eevee takes the lead and bombs Team Rocket with a quick attack. Mikey decides he wants to be an Eevee trainer, and his brothers back him up.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Misty, she really helped Mikey be confident.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, they had a good plan but they really screwed the pooch this time.
One thing I learned: A Team Rockets got to eat.
Pikachu-o-meter: 2/5, this was not a Pikachu episode. Makes sense after his all-timer last week.
