Summary: Our friends go to the carnival filled with rides, shows, and beautiful girls. Pikachu and Misty are embarrassed by Ash and Brock’s “fun” outfits. They run into Melvin the Magnificent, a down on his luck magician doing a show, and decide to support him. Misty is wearing a beautiful white dress, and Melvin’s pink eggs aren’t very helpful in his act. Let’s just say, this guy sucks. After bombing this show, Ash decides to help him with his show. Ash is now a swami, and decides to perform a series of element blowholes, but his friends can’t handle Charmander’s tail. After the ruckus, Melvin finds out he can hypnotize Ash, and make him to what he wants. Melvin makes him draw a cart into the forest, where Team Rocket and Ash’s friends follow him. Melvin gets Ash to battle the Exeggutor, while he catches them all. Melvin’s dreams of Las Vegas are threatened when Team Rocket tries to steal his Exeggutor, but his Exeggcute evolve and stampede towards the carnival. Having already wreaking the carnival, its promoter decides that a time bomb will stop them before they reach the town. Charmander’s rapid fire Flamethrower wakes these palm trees up, and with the help of Melvin they stop all of them before they hit the bomb. Melvin gains a little confidence, while Charmander evolves into Charmeleon, who is now a teenager with an attitude.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Charmander, what an episode for out pal.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Melvin, what a disaster of a guy. None of the grace of Duplica, he got better at the end but I do not like this fellow.
One thing I learned: Magicians can be tricky to handle (thank you, thank you).
Pikachu-o-meter: 3/5, decent episode.
Best Quote: “Alakazam, Kalamazoo, Pesto” -Meowth
Best Scene: Charmander fighting the Exeggutor.
