Airdate: May 21st, 1998
Summary: The gang struggles through the desert, and makes their way to Las Vegas, I mean, Neon Town. Ash knocks into a ruffian who challenges him to a fight. They escape the town after the fight, and run into a Jigglypuff along with Team Rocket who plays them a tune to attract Jigglypuff. Team Rocket gets blasted by Bulbasaur and the gang tries to get Jigglypuff’s confidence up with a Pikachu song, a balloon, and fruit juice. Jigglypuff sings its beautiful melody, and our friends and Team Rocket fall asleep. Jigglypuff is having a tiff after everyone fell asleep, and marks their faces up with funny designs, this one has a little temper. The gang checks if some Pokémon are immune to her song, but all of them were mad snoozing. Now it’s Psyduck’s turn, and even though he seems awake, he is snoozing. Our friends bring Jigglypuff to Neon town to get the town to sleep, they set up a huge soundstage courtesy of Team Rocket and their new British accents. Jigglypuff sings, and the whole town falls asleep, remarkably Jigglypuff does not run out of ink before tattooing the whole town. Everyone wakes up in a great mood, but Jigglypuff’s story isn’t over as our heroes move to the next town.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Nice Jigglypuff, because of you a whole town can sleep, good work.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Marker Jigglypuff, you are a rude and jealous diva.
One thing I learned: Don’t piss off a Jigglypuff.
