Airdate: June 4th, 1998
Summary: Pikachu is just munching on an apple, when it gets stuck in its throat. They rush Pikachu to a hospital, being that there is no Pokémon Center around. The attending doctor is a little bit of a creep, but he agrees to treat Pikachu. He is able to pull the apple out but berates Ash, only to get a call from Nurse Joy, there has been a huge pile up of injured Pokémon from a wreck. A Cubone has a cracked skull, Ash tries to restrain while Misty consoles it. The doctor keeps treating everything with super glue, and has asked two women out so far. Dr. Proctor helps untangle Arbok, and teaches Ash the doctor’s code. Brock and James treat a Pinsir while Jessie and Misty get a Voltorb out of a Weepinbell. Ash and Brock work on Dodrio, but accidently sedate Dr. Proctor. Ash steps up to the plate and uses his Pokémon to untie their heads. The crew moves around the clinic helping all of the injured Pokémon. Team Rocket is around the corner plotting to steal all of the weak Pokémon. Jessie wants Arbok and Weezing to attack Chansey who is standing in the way of Team Rocket capturing the Pokémon. Dr. Proctor explains that Arbok and Weezing haven’t forgotten Chansey treating them. Dr. Proctor is loaded, and he is ready to treat Team Rocket to some pain. Everyone leaves with some great practical experience, and Dr. Proctor gets some perspective.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Chansey, always helping out in every frame.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, this is particularly low even for them.
One thing I learned: Team Rocket has no shame.
Pikachu-o-meter: 4/5, another solid episode for out mouse.
