Summary: Our friends are walking down the road and they see a poster asking for information on the location of James! They get shoved into a cab and are asked to give information on James’ whereabouts. They get driven to a huge mansion, but James is hiding in the bushes, looking uneasy. Apparently, James’ parents passed away, and he is the sole heir. James and the gang run into each other. James tells the harrowing tale of him and Growly, James supposedly dies in the cold, but obviously he is fibbing a bit since he is…. alive. Team Rocket trap James and try and fool the butler and his parents, who are alive! This has been an elaborate trick for James to marry Jessiebelle who bears a striking resemblance to Jessie. Jessiebelle takes James to the vault, which is really a torture chamber. James’ family has a real domineering streak, and Jessie and Meowth dip out on James. Jessiebelle uses Vileplume to entrap James with its Stun Spore. The butler throws everyone out, and James seems to be stuck in this marriage. Is that Growlithe’s music?! He rushes in to save our blue-headed friend, and helps James escape. James tells a more truthful tale of Jessiebelle’s terror throughout his life, and Growlithe uses its Ember while Pikachu uses its Thundershock to keep Jessiebelle at bay. James rejoins Team Rocket.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Vileplume, top-10 Pokémon for sure, it can’t help that Jessiebelle is its trainer.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Jessiebelle, what a controlling freak.
One thing I learned: Growlithe are man’s best friends.
Pikachu-o-meter: 2/5, not much of a Pikachu episode.
Best Quote: “Let’s go down to the vault and count all the money you will inherit” -Jessiebelle
Best Scene: James’ memory of Jessiebelle.
