Airdate: March 18th, 1999
Summary: Tracy is trying to entertain Togepi, but is concerned it hasn’t learned an attack. As they sail along, they got caught in a Whirlpool. Tracy explains that they landed on Pinkan Island. Tracy climbs up the cliff, and makes sketches of a pink Rhyhorn. Ash ruins the serenity of the moment by pissing Rhyhorn off, but Togepi transports them with their Metronome attack. The Rhyhorn fell off of the cliff, and the crew help pull Rhyhorn back up the cliff. Officer Jenny alerts them to the fact that the island is off limits. Team Rocket and Jigglypuff are stuck in a whirlpool. The gang end up hoisting Rhyhorn up, and Ash is surprised it didn’t attack Officer Jenny. Pikachu starts eating Pinkan berries, making Pikachu pink. Team Rocket ends up on Pinkan island, and they have dreams of running a state show of all-pink Pokémon. Jessie and James try really hard to catch some Nidoran, but get took by a Nidoking. Ash and the gang call Prof. Oak to tell him that they are in Pinkan Island, and he advises them to keep it a secret. Nidoking is on a rampage after giving Team Rocket the boot. Officer Jenny wraps Nidoking up, she might be the best Officer Jenny yet. Misty thinks Togepi knows some attacks, she is right, but debate exposes doubt. Tracy is sketched Officer Jenny, and is taking Brock’s place nicely.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Prof. Oak, great advice to our heroes, don’t expose the Pink Pokémon secret.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, they set off that chain event which made Nidoking go on a rampage.
One thing I learned: Don’t mess with a Nidoking.
