Airdate: April 15th, 1999
Summary: Our crew are sailing in the Orange Islands on Lapras’ back, where they get passed by Nurse Joy and Chansey kayaking like fiends. Our crew decides to follow. A massive Magikarp, over teen feet long, flops onto the rocks off of the beach. The buff Nurse Joy explains that it is low in Calcium, and once its fed Joy throws it into the ocean. Tracy starts sketching Nurse Joy, this time Misty doesn’t have a problem with it. Ash is hungry, and Nurse Joy invites the gang to lunch. Nurse Joy checks Lapras out, and gives it some free vitamins, what a deal. Ash and the gang offer to help out Nurse Joy, but can barely follow Nurse Joy. They attend to a Kingler, an Onix, a Mankey, and stumble upon a Jigglypuff while they investigate Nurse Joy’s empty Kayak. They find Nurse Joy after rightfully fleeing Jigglypuff, she was treating a Cloyster. The crew goes underwater to observe Nurse Joy treating a Shellder. A Dewgong gets a hold of Ash, and pull sit in the water while Ash struggles to breathe. Ash wakes up with a cup of hot something, while Nurse Joy tells the origin story of her and the Magikarp they treated before. She took it home, kept it in a tank, and became friends with it. A storm is brewing, but Nurse Joy has to make one more stop. Tracy is concerned the storm is going to be too violent, and kayaks after her. Ash and Misty tag along as well. They send their water Pokémon out to help them after they fall out of their kayaks, including Staryu, HYUUUUUU!!! They get to safety, and apologize to Nurse Joy for running out in the storm. Meanwhile, Team Rocket schemes to grab Pikachu and Chansey. Meowth sends a net to catch the crew, but Nurse Joy’s Magikarp comes from out of nowhere to blast Team Rocket away, not before it evolves into a Gyrados. Gyrados fawns over Nurse Joy still, and Nurse Joy treats the baby Seel.

Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Jigglypuff, I hate this Jigglypuff propaganda.
One thing I learned: Tracy has a thing for Nurse Joy.
