Summary: Ash got his second gym badge, so he is obviously a little haughty. A 300-year-old Orange League trophy was just found on Morrow Island where the kids arrive, Prof. Oak tells them it can be found at the museum. Team Rocket breaks into the museum, and use James to steal the trophy from its glass case. Team Rocket wakes up in some bushes, while The crew investigates them after its found out that the trophy is stolen. The crew take a Seadra boat to escape, but get took to an old ship with ghosts in it. The gang swims after them on Lapras, and enter the ship as well. Togepi runs off and Pikachu is not able to save it, a door opens on its own volition. Togepi walks down a dark corridor, narrowly avoiding falling down again, and plays with the ghosts. Misty is scared by the shadow of Togepi, but the real haunts come from Haunter and Gastly. The ghosts, just like in Pokémon Tower, are friends not foes. The only thing these ghosts are serious about are protecting the trophy. Team Rocket try and attack Gastly and Haunter, but they control Meowth to explain that they are guarding the trophy of their master, a merchant whose prize possession was the trophy he won with the help of Gastly and Haunter. The ship drifts into the night, safe from Team Rocket and others trying to steal it.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Misty, even though she is a bit winey about ghosts, she is ten and she was ready to fight for Togepi.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Togepi, I know it is just a baby but this Pokémon runs off too damn much.
One thing I learned: You can’t separate a ghost from the thought of its old pals.
Island Monitor: Seven Grapefruits Island -> Morrow Island
Best Quote: “I guess the captain must have been a pretty good Pokémon trainer to win that” -Ash
Best Scene: The old Orange Island battle scene.
