Airdate: September 30th, 1999
Summary: Ash, Tracey. And Misty head back to Pallet Town give the GS ball to Professor Oak. They arrive home and find Brock, who evades answering why he left Prof. Ivy. Brock flinches at every mention of Prof. Ivy’s name. Delia welcomes everyone home, but sidesteps Ash for Pikachu. Delia tells the story of seeing Brock in the road, and Brock fights with Mr. Mime to do the chores. Ash shows Mom his Orang League trophy, Delia is unimpressed. The crew head off to Prof. Oak’s lab, Team Rocket lays in wait. Muk attacks Prof. Oak, and Prof. Oak triggers Brock with that Prof. Ivy talk. Ash sees his Snorlax and says hello, Ash sends his Tauros to join the others. Tracey also meets Ash’s Kingler, and shows Prof. Oak his sketch book and he is impressed. Team Rocket show themselves to our heroes in lab, and Muk rushes to the scene to beat all of their Pokémon with its Body Slam and Poison Gas attacks. Lickitung is able to gain some traction, and Team Rocket binds our heroes and vacuums all of their sketches and Pokémon. Gary rushes in with his Nidoqueen and saves our heroes. Everyone praises Gary, and Ash gets heated up enough to challenge him to a battle.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Muk, what a champion.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: JIGGLY, GET OFF MY SCREEN YOU IGNORANT PUFF.
One thing I learned: Gary isn’t all bad.
