Pokemon Specials 1-4: Kanto and Orange Islands

PK 01: Pikachu’s Vacation

Summary: Our Pokémon friends, including Pidgeotto, a criminally underrated bird. Everyone is excited to play at the Pokémon Park, but Pikachu gets trampled and Togepi is sad. Pikachu tries to cheer it up, but Squirtle scares it. Bulbasaur gets an apple down for Togepi, but Psyduck eats it. Bulbasaur gives a Bulbaby. A group of Pokémon are walking down the way, a Cubone, a Raichu, a Snubbull and Marill. Togepi walks off, and Pikachu struggles to keep pace falling into a roaring stream. Meanwhile, Squirtle and Snubbull face off, and Bulbasaur is having none of it. A whole host of Pokémon are chilling, but Squirtle and Marill challenge each other to a swimming contest, but after a hard-fought race Marill wins. Raichu fucks with Pikachu, but this mouse won’t take Raichu’s shit, they race up the hill, down a slide, over an obstacle course, through a maze, bumping into Meowth, Arbok, and Weezing, running over a Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee and Charizard, before being sat on by a Snorlax. Charizard gets its head stuck in a hole, and everyone has to work together to get them unstuck after only Ash’s Pokémon tried at first. Cubone, the Lonely Pokémon, helps out and eventually Charizard’s head gets unstuck. Everyone has a little more fun and says goodbye before heading back.

Best Pokémon: Pikachu, what a protective warrior who always looks out for his buddies.

 

PK02 & PK03: Christmas Night and Kanga Games

Summary: Ash, Brock, and Misty leave their Pokémon in their cabin while they buy Christmas Cake. Togepi puts on a Christmas hat, and everyone looks at their reflection in the Christmas ornaments. Squirtle and Bulbasaur have a disagreement over a cookie, and Vulpix gets stuck in a stocking. Psyduck tries to pop some champagne, while Bulbasaur and Vulpix almost ruin the tree. Squirtle ends up pulling all of the lights off of the tree, and Psyduck’s uncorking is the Christmas tree’s demise. Pikachu freaks a bit and he makes the lights go out. They open a box with a spinning tree and music, what a quaint scene. The team made the tree, and everyone enjoys Christmas together. 

Later, our crew plays in the snow. Onix is a little overzealous when he shakes the ground so much that snow buries Onix. Togepi and Pikachu stumble into a friendly Kangaskhan and its baby. Squirtle tries to get it to play with them, and Kangaskhan laughs at Pikachu getting hit by a snowball. Kangaskhan starts throwing at Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Kangaskhan and Togepi start sledding with Pikachu riding in the back. Bulbasaur uses Squirtle as a sled and our crew flies over Brock and Misty’s Pokémon who join in. Everyone realizes they are headed for water, but the mother Kangaskhan stops Onix’s roll. Everyone says goodbye to Kangaskhan. 

Best Pokémon: Squirtle and Bulbasaur, the perfect comedy team. 

PK04: Pikachu’s Rescue Adventure

Summary: Togepi stumbles down a hill right into Meowth, knocking it out, before landing in a tree stump. Our Pokémon crew jump in, traversing a long tunnel. Our friends so a bunch of Ledyba and run into an Elekid. Squirtle sees them, and puts on their Squirtle Squad glasses. Pikachu makes friends with Elekid, who subsequently introduces our friends to a whole forest of Pokémon. Elekid leads out friends up and around the whole forest, where they find Togepi resting with a bunch of Exeggcute who follow it. They eventually enter a hidden area with dancing Bellossom. They run into some Clefairy, fall again, Meowth blasts off, and a storm approaches. All of the Pokémon flee into their homes, while our friends try to hold on for dear life. Pikachu and Bulbasaur work to secure Togepi. Snorlax helps the crew secure the bag, and with the help of Elekid and Pikachu the storm eventually goes away with everyone safe. The lost Exeggcute is found, and the eggs evolve into an Exeggutor. 

Best Pokémon: Pikachu and Elekid, when two electric Pokémon unite it’s special.
