Pokemon Company

Airdate: February 10th, 2000

Summary: Our friends are hungry and have blisters on their feet. Our gang and Team Rocket agree that Team Rocket is pathetic, but Meowth is determined. James counts the amount of Pokémon Team Rocket and the gang have, they lament that they are so overmatched with the gang and their Charizard. Our friends are in a canyon, when they run into trainer with a Charizard, Charla. Brock reads that they are in the Charicific Valley. The trainer, Liza, has heard of Ash and his Charizard and invites them to the valley. The crew gets a ride, but Ash has to fly on his Charizard. Liza challenges Charizard, but our favorite lizard struggle big time. Ash makes it there, and Liza starts putting Charizard on blast. Charizard gets pissed, and wants to fight one of the Charizard in the valley, but these Charizard don’t play. Even the worst Charizard in the valley wreck Ash’s Charizard. Charizard goes off and doesn’t quit, until it gets thrown out of the Valley. Charizard bangs on the door, but Liza won’t let them in. Charizard and Charla battle, which lasts about five second before Charizard gets thrown in the water. Liza asks it to do some reflecting. Charizard is stubborn as all get out, and it will wait forever until it can prove it is good enough. Charizard almost falls asleep, but Team Rocket helps it stay awake as it waits to be accepted into the Valley. Team Rocket rolls in and bangs on the door to Charicific Valley, but they do it so that Charizard blows them into the sky. Liza accepts Charizard, and Ash challenges it to get better, and gives it the confidence to keep pushing. Charizard and Pikachu say goodbye, and it’s getting a little misty in here.

Best Trainer/Pokémon: Charizard, this Pokémon has guts, heart, and a big future.

Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, don’t fuck with a Pokémon preserve gate… I mean everyone was good in this episode so I had to find a fall guy.

One thing I learned: Charizard are dope Pokémon.

Who is that Pokémon?: Sunflora, not criminally, but still underrated.

Best Quote: “I can understand how it feels to be utterly rejected” “You and Jess don’t have to imagine” -James and Meowth

Best Scene: Ash saying goodbye to Charizard.
