Airdate: March 2nd, 2000
Summary: Ash and his friends are on the way to Azalea Town, and spot our favorite grass Pokémon. They run into a Hoppip; a cotton weed Pokémon. This Hoppip is as high as the wind, and the gang follows it. The run into another cute woman that Brock falls for, Mariah, they are heavy on the women this season. Mariah feeds her Hoppip, and show the gang her weather forecasting data. The Hoppip help Mariah predict the weather, and are part of her whole system. The breeze pushes the Hoppip up, and we see an Oddish with pink rouge trying to be a Hoppip. This plant has a dream, but it keeps falling to its demise every time it tries to fly. Team Rocket imagines a delivery system with the Hoppip, and dress up as characters to blow the Hoppip away. They use an industrial fan to blow the Hoppip, and after Chikorita battles against Arbok like a champ, Pikachu sends them flying. A huge windstorm is on the way, the Hoppip are predicting it. A tornado is headed their way! Many of the Hoppip got caught up in the storm, and Oddish helps everyone find them. Team Rocket come back with their balloon, and it looks like they snatched up the majority of the Hoppip. Team Rocket can’t decide what to do with the Hoppip they caught, while getting owned by Staryu, HYUUUUU (I’ve missed that). Team Rocket gets whacked into the forest, our gang chases after them, and Heracross and Staryu help Oddish fight Team Rocket. Oddish doesn’t give a flying fuck, it uses its strong legs, Spore attacks, and grit to beat Team Rocket. Oddish is badass. Oddish is praised by our crew, and they say goodbye to Mariah.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Oddish, what a badass cutie with a dream, I’m partial to Oddish.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Brock, he wants Mariah to drop her career for him, good luck buddy.
One thing I learned: Grass Pokémon are love, Grass Pokémon are life.
