Airdate: May 11th, 2000
Summary: Ash sends Tauros back to Professor Oak, but he keeps Heracross for a bit longer. Nurse Joy mentions the Fire and Rescue Grand Prix while trying to escape Brock, this man has a problem. Our friends check out the contest, meet up with Captain Aidan, and also get reunited with the Squirtle Squad. The Squirtle have become a real firefighter squad, and are going to go against Team Wartortle. Both teams do some target practice, and it is obvious that the Squirtle Squad is spirited but are intimidated. Squirtle decides to put on his proverbial Squirtle Squad glasses on after helping the squad hit all of their targets. The competition starts, and Ash and Misty’s team work together to extinguish the fire in their first challenge, but lose to the Muk team. Captain Aidan is concerned about the Squirtle Squad versus Team Golduck, and they falter out of the gate. The Squirtle Squad is not doing too hot, and Squirtle decides to coach them to a victory. Team Rocket shows up in their Torcher-Scorcher, and threatens the livelihood of those in the arena, another semi-terroristic plan here. Team Rocket has gone too far. Ash employs Squirtle to work with the Squirtle Squad to defeat Team Rocket. They are able to use their powers to send Team Rocket flying. Now it’s time for Team Wartortle to face the Squirtle Squad, and in the end the squad wins by a hair. Squirtle is best when he is with his buddies, and Ash accepts that his buddy will always stay in his heart, and perhaps occasionally in his life, but should always be with his squad. Squirtle says goodbye to his old pal Bulbasaur, what a moment, It’s a bit misty in here.

Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, get the hell out of here with it, there is no room for you in this episode.
One thing I learned: When you work as aa team you can get anything done.
Who is that Pokémon?: Houndour, this is the best Pokémon of the generation, hands down.
