Airdate: June 1st, 2000
Summary: Our friends take a lunch break but Ash’s backpack is gone, there are some mysterious red eyes in the bushes. Brock finds a Pokémon footprint. Team Rocket steals Nurse Joy’s ham while her and Chansey grab some ice cream. Jessie presents the ham to James and Meowth, and the Pokémon swoops in and grabs the ham. Our friends link with Nurse Joy, and Brock decides to bait the Pokémon. The Pokémon take the bait, and it turns out that a bunch of Houndour are responsible for stealing the food. They are in a pack, and the leader is not happy. Ash and the crew decide to battle the Houndour who are a tough match. The leader challenges Ash to a direct match with Pikachu, and it really puts up a good fight. It leaves with a Smog when it hears another Pokémon crying. A Golem is threatening the sick Houndour, and the pack works to try and get Golem away from their friend. Ash saves the leader Houndour from the Golem, and Chikorita sends it away. The Houndour don’t trust Brock to treat their friend, nut Ash calls his Pokémon back and asks the leader to trust them to take it to the Pokémon Center. Team Rocket show up, but the leader says he will take care of Team Rocket while Ash heads to the Pokémon Center. They handle them promptly by avoiding all of their attacks and using a Leer and Flamethrower combination. The Houndour join the party, and help Ash take Houndour to Nurse Joy. They wait together for the result of the care, the fever breaks. Team Rocket comes and nets all of the Houndour, but the leader frees them. Ash is hounded by these pups, and our friends say goodbye.

Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Golem, this Pokémon is unhinged, chill out bro.
One thing I learned: Ash and the crew are real Pokepals.
