Airdate: June 22nd, 2000
Summary: All of our friends’ water Pokémon are let out of their balls, and we get to see Totodile’s talent and lighthearted nature. Totodile sees an Azumarill and falls in love. A Golduck wanders into the groups camp with its trainer, Trixie. Misty has to pull Brock away, and Ash finds out that the missing Azumarill is Trixie’s Pokémon. Azumarill runs back into camp, as it is being chased by Totodile. This aquatic rabbit is on love with Golduck. Azumarill has been a diva ever since Golduck started working in the magic show. It is opening night of the new show, and Azumarill is getting outshone by Totodile who hogs the spotlight. After the show, Brock helps coach Totodile in the ways of love, but it fails miserably. Azumarill is caught by Team Rocket, and Totodile is distressed. Team Rocket is also able to catch Pikachu right as the gang joins Brock and Totodile. Totodile runs after them, while Azumarill still acts like a diva. Meowth suggests that Team Rocket treat Azumarill like a diva, but after many frustrations they decide to use force. Totodile rushes in to save Azumarill, but gets caught like all three of the Pokémon. Azumarill starts crying, but Totodile gives Azumarill its bow. Team Rocket packs up the Pokémon to take, but our friends catch up with them and start to attack Team Rocket. Bulbasaur frees Pikachu and Totodile, who attack Team Rocket and send them flying. Totodile thinks that Azumarill is running for Totodile, but it really wants Golduck. Totodile is heartbroken, joining Brock in their bad luck. But Totodile moves in just as fast, and starts trying to impress a Quagsire.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Totodile, this Pokémon has a lot of heart.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Brock, this man won’t get out of his own way this season, it’s a bit much.
One thing I learned: Brock will do just about anything for lust.
Who is that Pokémon?: Furret, an underrated and useful Pokémon.
