Airdate: August 17th, 2000
Summary: Our friends are approached by the producer of Poke talk radio, and get invited to come on the show after Ash’s victory over Whitney. Team Rocket stumbles around Goldenrod looking for food. They find that they are in front of the Radio Tower, and dress in disguises to go into the tower. They quickly get pushed into an interview posing as Pokémon ventriloquists. They find that they are set opposite of DJ Mary, and she is impressed by their talking Meowth. After Team Rocket’s set, they chow down, whole Ash is scared that everyone is listening to him on the radio. Mary gets Ash loose with some battle talk. Ash and Team Rocket are paired together for a radio story time program. DJ Mary starts reading the story, and Ash is Prince Goldenrod, and the gang are his friends. James is the Charizard and the parents with Jessie. Team Rocket improvised with a battle sequence with Meowth, which happens in real life. The plot is really confusing, I will not write it all down, but Team Rocket moves the blot to more represent their personal story and penchant for pitfalls and robots. At the end of the story, DJ Mary turns the table on Team Rocket. Team Rocket doesn’t take it, and they try and steal Pikachu for real. Ash battles to get Pikachu back, which is caught on the hot mics fo the recording studio, making for one hell of a show.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, they really stumbled into a perfect day, free food and radio exposure.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Ash, nothing wrong with him but that stage fright can make you look bad.
One thing I learned: Team Rocket can do radio.
Who is that Pokémon?: Pikachu, what can I say that hasn’t been said. I guess I learned yesterday that Pikachu was supposed to be a squirrel originally.

Best Scene: Any scene with Ash in that green hat.
