Pokemon Season 3 Superlatives and Review

Pokemon Company

Class Clown (Funniest Character): Totodile, This Pokémon was only in a handful of episodes, but already landed its status as the Pokémon with the most outgoing personality in the crew. His dancing, his love for water Pokémon, this is the perfect friend.

Pokemon Company

Most Likely to Succeed (Best Trainer/Pokémon): Chikorita, Chikorita showed the most personality among all of Ash’s new Pokémon, and became the most endearing member of Ash’s squad.

Pokemon Company

Most Athletic (Best Battle of the Season): (Ep.154-Hot Matches!) Skarmory vs. Cyndaquil, This was one of the best battles so far, and establishes Cyndaquil as a real threat on Ash’s team.

Pokemon Company

Honorable Mention: (Ep.133-Fighting Flyer with Fire )

Biggest Flirt (Brock’s Best Crush Award): Olesia in No Big Woop (Ep. 150), Olesia was perhaps the most perfect woman that Brock has ever loved for the entirety of one episode. Brock has been on a disturbing pattern of being extra lately, she calmed him down.

Pokemon Company

Most Changed (Best Character Development): Ash, he didn’t face much of a challenge in this season, which shows that he can take what he learned in the Orange Islands and battle confidently. His maturation with Cyndaquil and Chikorita was impressive, the most interpersonal work we have seen with him in the whole anime besides Charizard.

Pokemon Company

Most Unforgettable (Best Episode): Hour of the Houndour (Ep. 152), this episode pulls at the heart strings and has an amazing shot of Houndour in front of a huge moon *chef’s kiss*.

Pokemon Company

Prettiest Place (Best One-Episode Setting): Chikorita’s Big Upset (Ep. 138), The purple and orange sunset, the greenhouse, and the cool tire-filled warehouse were all great shots.

Pokemon Company

Overall Season Score: 10/10, this season had some of my favorite episodes of the anime all time, and there were stretches where every episode was a banger, show after show.
