Summary: Our friends are on the way to Ecruteak city, and they stumble upon a crew who are reconstructing bridges along the river, but they won’t be done anytime soon. Team Rocket sails above everyone, but burns their balloon. Pikachu spots an old man with a boat, our gang tries to get a boat ride but the man wants them to catch a Sudowoodo was payment. Psyduck runs into a Sudowoodo and isn’t fooled by its disguise. Our friends run into some scientists looking for the Sudowoodo Psyduck found. Pierre and Marie are looking for Sudowoodo as well. Maire thinks that Sudowoodo is a grass type, Pierre disagrees. They run into the Sudowoodo from before, and Ash uses Chikorita and Totodile to battle it. Sudowoodo uses Vine Whip against Chikorita, but is scared of Totodile. It runs into a Team Rocket trap before they strap it to a Jessie. Team Rocket asks Sudowoodo what kind of Pokémon they are, Sudowoodo just wants some food though. Team Rocket brings the old man the Sudowoodo for a boat ride, and James tries to prove it is a Sudowoodo by squirting it with the Squirtbottle. Sudowoodo is hiding from Team Rocket, but Brock chases it down and starts licking it… I don’t know what to say. Then Brock primes Sudowoodo with Pokechow, our man is lonely. The old man just wanted a Sudowoodo for Marie, his granddaughter. Sudowoodo uses Arbok’s attacks against it, and then gives it a Low Kick. Sudowoodo starts to use Cyndaquil’s Flamethrower against it, the scientists conclude that it knows Mimic. Sudowoodo runs away, but Pierre and Marie learned what they needed to, and are back to being friends.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Sudowoodo, this fake tree just wants to eat.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: The old man, you can’t ferry three people across a short river without having them go on a fetch quest?
One thing I learned: Sudowoodo do not like water.
