Airdate: October 26th, 2000
Summary: Our friends are walking down the road when Ash’s stomach hurts. Our friends look around for a pharmacy, and they run across Old Man Shuckle. He gives Ash some medicine, which blows his mouth open, but gets the job done. Brock and friends follow old man Shuckle to his place, and learn that Shuckle are the secret to Old Man Shuckle’s medicines, who would have known. Old Man Shuckle’s Bellsprout, swoopy, can sniff for Shuckle. Swoopy and friends start searching for Shuckle in haste. Swoopy keeps flipping Shuckle like nobody’s business, and finally finds the purple one that can tame any Pokémon. Swoopy and Shuckle have a dope conversation, but Team Rocket ropes in and takes the purple Shuckle. Team Rocket is thirsty after running away, and they give some juice to Meowth to taste if it is safe to drink. Meanwhile, Swoopy takes them to the Shuckle using its scent. All of the Shuckle are following the scent of the purple Shuckle, especially after Team Rocket started drinking the juice. This is an anti-drinking PSA folks. All of Team Rocket’s Pokémon and the Shuckle are climbing on Team Rocket. Even Pikachu is attracted to Team Rocket, so Old Man Shuckle uses a powder that neutralizes the affected Pokémon’s reaction to the juice. Team Rocket is blasted by Pikachu, and Brock vows to only use his love and skills to reach his Pokémon, not a special juice. Team Rocket is surrounded by Ursaring and Beedrill for two days and nights.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Old Man Shuckle, with a name like that how can you not pick this old man.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, they got lost in the sauce.
One thing I learned: Meowth harbors some deep feeling for James.
