Summary: Our friends are in the mountains, where they spot Gary and his Umbreon battling a kid and his Alakazam from Cherrygrove City. Umbreon dodges and takes the Alakazam’s strong attacks with aplomb, and finishes it with a Hidden Power. Ash and Pikachu challenge Gary and Umbreon, and after Gary declines, he throws all of his other Pokémon out. Gary walks out on him. Team Rocket has dreams of food, while Meowth tries to find some calm looking at the sunset. Ash gets his fill of food, but the power goes out in the restaurant and the Pokémon Center. Our friends investigate the power outage, and find workers at the Johto Power Plant tied up. Team Rocket has sucked all of the power from the plant to give their robo-Wobbuffet some juice. Pikachu tries to attack the robot, but it counter Pikachu’s attack and sends it back double. Ash and Misty’s Water Pokémon try and use Water Gun but that gets countered as well. Wobbuffet can’t go any further because of the length of the extension cord. Umbreon disconnects the robot from its power source, and help the workers. They run to the water source that generates the power, and Team Rocket follows. Pikachu accidently powers the robot back up. But Ash uses all three of his starters to heat the robot up and send it flying. Totodile locates the handle that turns the water crank thing, Gary watches as they struggle to pull the crank. He decides to help Ash and company, and they get the water flowing again with some electricity by Pikachu.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Umbreon, this is one of the coolest Pokémon of the generation.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Ash, he didn’t do anything bad at all, but Gary seems more prepared.
One thing I learned: Using only counter-attacks is no good.
Who is that Pokémon?: Shellder, this Pokémon is alright, but Cloyster is dope.
Best Quote: “Time to pour on the juice, Pikachu” -Ash
Best Scene: Team Rocket getting too hot in the cockpit.
