Airdate: November 16th, 2000
Summary: Our friends are about to head further towards Ecruteak City, but they are suddenly surrounded by Wobbuffet. Our friends find the Wobbuffet festival, and so do Team Rocket. Team Rocket gets treated to a whole meal due to their Wobbuffet. The person who takes Wobbuffet in gives it a headband to distinguish it. The Wobbuffet all over town start to get attacked by a group of fighting Pokémon trainers who terrorized the town the year before, until Lulu, the woman who served Team Rocket, kicked their ass. The group won’t go anywhere until they beat every Wobbuffet. Meanwhile, Team Rocket starts pilfering the food storage. Ash decides to challenge them, but this breaks the spirit of the festival. The battle stops before it starts, because Officer Jenny tells them they cannot battle during the Wobbuffet Festival. The gang decides to take their aggression on the Wobbuffet statue in the center of town. Team Rocket decides to get involved after they decide they can’t morally stand being on the sidelines. Team Rocket start to attack the Fighting Pokémon, and with a little confidence end up dispatching them. Wobbuffet’s Counter causes all sorts of problems for the gang. Once the gang is gone, team Rocket is back to their old ways, but get blown up by Ash and Pikachu. The loot Team Rocket took is returned, and the festival is saved.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Lulu, she is the protector of a town of Wobbuffet, how endearing.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: The fighting Pokémon bullies, fuck them.
One thing I learned: Team Rocket can be decent, and can battle.
Who is that Pokémon?: Sneasel, a cool Pokémon, and Weavile is even better.
