Airdate: December 14th, 2000
Summary: Our friends are walking when they spot a Yanma near a lake, who takes Ash’s hat and flies away. Our friends meet its trainer, Zachary Evans, who cannot get it to listen to him. The Yanma flies into town, which prompts the town to shut themselves in. Yanma gets excited to see Zachary and starts using its Sonicboom attack which shatters glass in the town. Zach’s dad says sorry to the owners of the shops where Yanma broke the glass, and gives them free glass because Zach’s dad owns a glass shop. His dad tell shim Yanma has to go, but Yanma has a sad backstory, and a mischievous streak. Zach has sent Yanma away, but he regrets the decision immediately and decides to find it. Team Rocket catches Yanma, and uses it in a glass scheme where it has Yanma break windows to sell people cheap glass made of ice cream. Yanma misses Zach. Zach’s dad has been making some stained-glass windows, and the town finds out the window scam but instead of finding the culprits they blame Zach’s dad. Team rocket shows up just as a mob comes to bring reckoning on Mr. Evans. They have Yanma tied up, so Poliwhirl and Chikorita come out to battle Yanma. Team Rocket makes an offer Mr. Evans can’t refuse by threatening to use Yanma. Yanma comes back in its Pokeball. Zach grabs it but gets booted by Victrebell. Chikorita whips Arbok, and Poliwhirl finishes up. Zach’s dad encourages Zach to battle, he doesn’t care about the stained glass if it means helping his son. Yanma masters their Sonicboom attack, sending Team Rocket flying with a Tackle. The town apologizes to Yanma and Zach.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Zach, even though he sucked at first he learned a lot about training Pokémon.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, they decided to take Yanma from a little kid, kicking him while he is down.
One thing I learned: Team Rocket has some good schemes, but they melt down at the end.
Who is that Pokémon?: Jigglypuff, don’t believe the hype, this Pokémon sucks.
