Summary: Ash and the gang stumble upon an apple orchard, where mysterious Pokémon eat apples and inadvertently frame Pikachu. Pikachu gets caught red-apple handed by a girl named Charmaine. She blames Pikachu, but Ash reasons with her about the size of Pikachu’s bite. Charmaine has had a problem with as apple thief. Team Rocket starts to steal one apple, but they don’t even get it in their mouths before the mysterious Pokémon eat it. Pikachu finds them, but gives them a lecture. Right when Pikachu gets stern, the baby Pichu cry out fearing a Fearow. The gang runs to the Pichu who are getting pestered by Fearow, but Pikachu protects them. The Pichu bring apples as a thanks for help, and Charmaine allows Pichu to live there and eat some apples. Ash has the idea to have Pichu protect the apple orchard. Another one of their duties is to help pick the apples for Charmaine. If they do this, they get to eat the apples, a fair trade off. Team Rocket float in on their balloon with a nefarious plot to steal the Pichu, Pikachu, and some apples. Pikachu needs to stop jumping into action straight into Team Rocket’s clutches. Pikachu helps energize Team Rocket’s balloon, powering James’ tv time. After Team Rocket blows the Pichu back, they won’t quit, eventually stopping Team Rocket by taking Pikachu. They form a chain to hook Pikachu up to a battery to liven it up, shocking Pikachu back into it, allowing it to shock Team Rocket back into the stratosphere. The Pichu find a permanent home, and Pikachu made some friends.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Pichu, they are amazing and the perfect little Pokémon.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Fearow, why is it always a Fearow attacking someone, why can’t there be more multi-dimensional characterization of Fearow.
One thing I learned: Pichu are perfect, and the best baby Pokémon.
Who is that Pokémon?: Snubbull, underrated.
Best Quote: “Instead of being enemies, you and the Pichu can become partners like Me and Pikachu are” -Ash
Best Scene: Team Rocket chilling in their balloon.
