Airdate: February 22nd, 2001
Summary: Our friends are now in a forest, and Brock warns them that scary Pokémon are in this forest. Team Rocket laments their struggle for success and basic food in a corn field. Our friends look for a place to stay, and go into an empty cabin. Our friends wake in the middle of the night, and see Brock dreaming about Nurse Joy, while Misty and Ash hear sound outside. The sound is a Teddiursa who plays dumb after sleeping under the covers, and gets Misty on its side. They wake up and Psyduck has eaten two apples, or have they, this bear looks mean. Team Rocket is selling fresh corn, our friends spot them and Teddiursa gets Misty to buy them some corn. Jessie has her eyes on Teddiursa, and the gang leaves to find a spot to eat. Ash lets his friends out of their balls, and Brock mentions the bread and ham in the bag. When Brock gets distracted Teddiursa starts to eat the ham, Totodile notices and attempts to stop them. The bear frames Totodile, and Totodile denies the accusation. Totodile blames Teddiursa, and Misty takes the bear’s side. Teddiursa eats three bananas and some sausage links, at which time Chikorita attempts to get it to stop eating them. Teddy wraps the links around Chikorita, Chikorita denies it and is hurt that Ash won’t believe her, but he comes around and believes her. All of the Pokémon are alerted to Teddiursa after Bulbasaur sounds the alarm, and the gang is up on their jig. Misty is mystified, and won’t believe the Pokémon. Teddiursa grabs Brock’s bag and makes a run for it. Teddiursa meets Team Rocket and tricks them into going up the mountain to find apples, while stealing Team Rocket’s lunch. Nurse Joy tells our friends about the history of the thieving bear, while Team Rocket catches it. Teddiursa breaks from their trap, and defeats their Pokémon. Chikorita and Totodile battle Teddiursa after the gang catches up with it, and after defeating it the bear evolves into an Ursaring. The gang runs away, and says goodbye to Nurse Joy.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, I love that they are trying to go straight with a corn business.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Teddiursa, fuck this Pokémon.
One thing I learned: Some Pokémon are real assholes.
