Airdate: March 22nd, 2001
Summary: Our friends are walking in the mountain and get saved by some Arcanine. After stopping, our friends meet Ramona who trains them. Our friends are given lessons on how to ride the Arcanine after being told about the Fire Stones Ramona and her brother Keegan are delivering. These Arcanine can run at crazy speeds even with people on their back, and Ash gets thrown off. A Team Rocket rocket crashes into our friends after hearing about the Fire Stones Ramona is carrying, and takes the stones and Pikachu. The Arcanine break Team Rocket’s ship, but Team Rocket escape on bike with the stones. Ramona and Arcanine chase after them after they use Extremespeed, but fall into a trap after Team Rocket brakes hard on them. Golbat is onto their tracks but they go off in different directions. Ramona and Misty/Brock go one way but fall into more traps James dug, while Ash and Keegan go the other way. Jessie lures Ash into a battlefield, challenging Ash to a battle for the Fire Stones. Arbok faces Pikachu, but Pikachu avoids all of Arbok’s attacks, beating it handily. Jessie throws the bag to Ash, but our friends fall into another pitfall, will they ever learn. Jessie steals Pikachu. Meowth has all of the stones while Jessie brings Pikachu. Ash rides with Arcanine and goes full speed, fast enough to find Team Rocket. Arcanine picks up Pikachu’s scent, and rides through the night. Team Rocket is digging into some food, and are really likable in this scene. Our friends finally get out of the hole and miraculously make it up to the twerps in time. Our friends get the stones and Pikachu from Team Rocket after some fighting, and Pikachu sends them flying. Our friends say goodbye to Ramona and Keegan.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Arcanine, what a majestic dog.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Keegan, nothing bad about him but his voice is annoying.
One thing I learned: Team Rocket was very smart, they can have their moments.
Who is that Pokémon?: Gloom, an underrated sweetie.
