Airdate: April 5th, 2001
Summary: Our friends are walking; Team Rocket is waiting for them in the road dressed as professors. They try and put Pikachu in a box that is supposed to help train Pokémon, but lock it in. The key is with Wobbuffet, and Weezing hits our crew with a Smokescreen and flees. Ash and the crew leave Team Rocket to get the key from Wobbuffet, and everyone chases it. Wobbuffet meets a Quagsire who shows it the way. Both teams find Wobbuffet hanging on a branch, but right as it lets go a truck scoops it up. The truck is being followed by the police, as it is being driven by a Golem-carrying bank thief. The thief is supposed to Russian, I truly wonder why they do this in Pokémon. The police block all escape routes when the thief drives in the city. The thief attempts to use a Golem balloon o escape, but Wobbuffet uses Counter and is able to take a ride in the balloon itself. Jessie tries to return Wobbuffet to its ball but it can’t hold still. Meanwhile, Ash tries to use a hammer to destroy the cage. Wobbuffet is flying towards the river, and ends up on a speedboat. Ash and Jessie go into the boat, and Wobbuffet accidently dislodges the steering wheel. Wobbuffet flies onto the thief’s motorcycle. Eventually all of our friends end up in a building where the thief is holding Wobbuffet hostage. Team Rocket breaks into the building, and won’t leave until the thief gives Wobbuffet back. The thief sends Golem at them, but Ash and Totodile come through the hole. Totodile battles Golem, but hides behind Wobbuffet who uses a Counter, which sends the thief to Officer Jenny. Wobbuffet escapes with Team Rocket in a Wobbu-balloon, but reveals itself. Noctowl puts a hole in their balloon, and Ash gets the key to unlock Pikachu and send Team Rocket flying.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Wobbuffet, what a goober.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, don’t but a Pokémon’s life in danger.
One thing I learned: Sometimes you just get caught in bad situations.
