Airdate: April 12th, 2001
Summary: Our friends are by the lake, when Brock faints while cooking. Ash and Misty worry about him, but his Pokémon are the most worried. Ash and Misty try and get Brock to lie down and sleep all day. Togepi finds Brock’s book, and Ash and Misty realize they have to do Brock chores. First on the list, a polish for Geodude and Onix. Ash tries to use Water Gun, which makes Onix irate and knocks our friends out. Brock is dreaming of a field of flowers and a group of beautiful women who love him, this has got to be a fantasy. But his dream turns into a nightmare that wakes him up, but he wakes up to his Golbat and Pineco, who make Brock sleep. Our friends look for food, but Team Rocket has been pilfering all of the apples. Ash almost tries to challenge Team Rocket, but then just asks for a few apples. Team Rocket scoops Pikachu up, but Ash sends them flying and steals their apples. Brock tries to eat the food Ash and Misty bring, but it tastes terribly. Luckily, he has Golbat to console him. Ash splits wood while Misty tries to cook with the help of Togepi. Misty is making a truly horrible concoction that is purple and inedible, Misty’s Mystery Stew. Misty tries it but can barely keep it down. Ash and Misty have a newfound appreciation for Brock, and Team Rocket is trying to swipe Pikachu. Jessie loves Misty’s stew, but James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet almost throw up. Team Rocket wakes Misty and Ash up with the motto after they take Ash’s starter Pokémon while Ash dreams of his ladies on the beach now. Golbat and Pineco wake Brock up, and he comes to save the day after Ash and Misty fall into a hole. Team Rocket blasts off, and Brock is better.

Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Ash, he stole Team Rocket’s apples.
One thing I learned: The squad needs Brock, they can’t cook.
