Summary: Our friends make it to Whitestone, and Team Rocket adores the marble. As they walk into the town they run into a group of Smeargle drawing all over the town. The Smeargle are chased by a group of rioters. In the group, an old man named Jack Pollackson pipes up and claims the Smeargle as his, and he gives the group a blank check for repairs in the city. A reporter runs in and tries to make a documentary about the town, but shifts the focus to Jack Pollackson. Jack says that the Smeargle are his paint brushes, and as they paint on Ash and their friends Jack says they are crafting a masterpiece. Our friends are given some lessons, that everyone is born with the ability to like art, but to make art is a special skill. Jack wants the Smeargle to make a piece of art that harkens back to the old heyday of his art. Jack shows our heroes is most prized painting. The reporters sneak into the house and decide not to film the painting, while Team Rocket swoops in and stops cold because they are moved. Team Rocket takes a picture of the painting, and Jack doesn’t care. Team Rocket prints out a picture of the artwork, Jessie hates it, and James says if Andy Warhol can do it anyone can. Jessie wants to steal the Smeargle for themselves. Jack tells our friends about how the Smeargle’s art changes with their emotions. Team Rocket pilfers the Smeargle, but they leave a trail for the gang and Jack. The Smeargle are afraid, and Team Rocket makes them complete some canvases. Our gang approaches the Smeargle who leave their battle to make a picture of the sunset. Team Rocket lets them leave. The Smeargle make another great painting of the town, and the rain washes it away. Our friend say goodbye to Jack.
