Airdate: May 17th, 2001
Summary: Our friends are on the way to Olivine City, and decide to stay in a park. A Nidorina runs to take a drink near the gang, and a girl named Temaku runs after it but trips. Brock catches her in his arms, and she falls in love with him. Temaku is already envisioning the marriage, and her dad shows up and invites them to dinner. Temaku’s dad is a Pokémon researcher, and the house has a host of Pokémon. Brock doesn’t know how to deal with girls who like him, and Misty gives him a series of pep talks. Temaku keeps the heat up, even volunteering Brock to manage her father’s Pokémon lab. Temaku even raised a Nidorina to have a perfect pair. Team Rocket drops in, and Ash sends out Totodile vs. Arbok. Next, Weezing sends out Weezing who uses Smokescreen. Temaku is held hostage, inadvertently, by Team Rocket who failed to catch Pokémon. Temaku falls from the balloon, and James catches her prompting Temaku to love him. She says James can be her fiancé, but James has horrible memories of Jessliina and shutters at the thought. Jessie and Meowth scheme another marriage for James like in Season 1, but this time James doesn’t have to be forced. Team Rocket plans to take the laboratory after the marriage, while Ash and some townspeople organize a search party. Noctowl spots Team Rocket, wo willingly come to the laboratory. The dad accepts the wedding. Our gang learns of the marriage, come back to the laboratory. Meanwhile, Jessie and Meowth plan to steal all the Pokémon in the lab while enjoying a feast. Brock decides he lieks Temaku, and Misty chides James. Team Rocket runs off but Temaku still loves James. Our friends fight Weezing and Arbok while getting the Pokémon back. Temaku starts fighting the gang when Poliwhirl hits Weezing in defense of her love James. Ash wraps them up with Chikorita, while Pikachu sends them flying. The doctor who helps Temaku ends up being the eye of her affection, Brock’s decision that he loves her is too late.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Misty, I love how she is in Brock’s corner, even if she is too pushy.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Jessie and Meowth, why do you keep putting James in these scenarios.
One thing I learned: James might have the rawest deal in Team Rocket.
