Airdate: May 31st, 2001
Summary: Our friends are taking a mid-day break. Bayleef comes out of her ball, and becomes a little too excited when seeing Ash, trampling him. Bayleef does not know how to control her strength. Ash is a little rough on Bayleef, chastising it for its Tackle. Ash even chastises Bayleef when it thinks that it should go easy, saying that it doesn’t want to see Bayleef. Bayleef leaves, but runs into some trouble with a swarm of Beedrill. Bayleef falls into a stream and Pikachu picks up her scent. Team Rocket finds our friends, and decide to catch Pikachu. Bayleef is washed ashore, and taken in by an old lady and her Machoke, Bellossom, and Skiploom. Our friends find the house, and see Bayleef in the garden. Ash tries to appeal to Bayleef, but she rejects him. Ash tries to garden to convince Bayleef, but she isn’t impressed. The old lady gives Ash some advice, telling him to stay in a good mood. Team Rocket comes in with a robot, ready to steal the old lady’s Pokémon. Team Rocket grabs Bayleef, Pikachu, Bellossom, and Skiploom. Team Rocket tries to step on the old lady, but Machoke saves her. Ash runs to save Bayleef, jumping off a cliff onto the robot. Ash tries to break the container Bayleef is in, and over time Bayleef forgives him when she sees how hard he is trying to free her. Bayleef works to get them all out, and after a series of headbutts she breaks the Pokémon free. Team Rocket tries to escape, but a Razor Leaf-Thunderbolt combo send them flying. Ash apologizes to Bayleef, and they make amends, Bayleef tackles Ash, and learns the Body Slam attack.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Bayleef, she is my favorite of Ash’s Pokémon, what a relationship.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Ash, he was an absolute dick this episode and doesn’t deserve Bayleef when he acts like this.
One thing I learned: Bayleef is the best.
