Pokemon Company

Airdate: June 7th, 2001

Summary: Our heroes are on the way to Olivine City when they run into a boy with a naughty Natu. They make their way to a street performer festival. Brock hogs the noodles and Cubone is throwing their bone around. There is enough food, comedy, and Pokémon for the whole family. Ash spots the Natu, who is a fortune teller, this show is pretty impressive. Misty steps up to have her fortune read, and the boy, McKenzie, shows up to tell Misty’s fortune with Natu. McKenzie is struggling a bit with the routine. Meanwhile, James is being swindled by our favorite Magikarp salesman while James and Meowth look for him. James wants Meowth to do some tricks after losing out with the Magikarp salesman. Misty has McKenzie wear a mask while he does the fortune telling routine so that he does not have stage fright. McKenzie leans into the comedy aspect of the show with the mask, and starts to find some success before Team Rocket bombs their way into the picture. Jessie and Team Rocket steal Natu and the other performing Pokémon in pursuit of riches and instant noodles, but Bayleef shows up a gives their balloon a Razor Leaf. Natu is still in the balloon, but Bayleef is about to totally burst it and send them flying into a preschool. Ash and the friends confront Team Rocket and send them flying. The preschool teacher asks for McKenzie to put on a show at the school, and he obliges. Natu puts on the show of their life, and Future Sight works!

Best Trainer/Pokémon: The Magikarp Salesman, this man is the best, period.

Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, a simple grab and go turned bad.

One thing I learned: Sometimes you have to go behind the mask to

Who is that Pokémon?: Jigglypuff, just.. no. This show has made me hate a Pokémon.

Best Quote: “Like how Pokémon get better by battling” -Ash
