Summary: Our heroes run into a desert close to Olivine City when Team Rocket bags a Pikachu, Cyndaquil tries to help Pikachu but gets a bump on its nose after fighting Weezing. Cyndaquil sends flames soaring to Team Rocket’s balloons, only to be blasted off itself. Our heroes go to the Pokemon Center, where Nurse Joy says that there might be a secret healing oasis in the desert. Team Rocket stumbles upon Cynadquil being carried by Dugtrio, who Meowth also ends up finding a ride on away from Team Rocket, now two Pokemon are lost. Our heroes spot Quagsire in the desert, so they decide to follow them to the top of a mountain. Meowth and Cynadaquil are taken to the mountain which turns out to be the oasis, who would have thought…. Miltank lives in this oasis, it uses Heal Bell and restores both Cyndaquil and Meowth to perfect help. Team Rocket approaches the mountain but gets hypnotized to walk away, our heroes see this and avoid the Exeggutor by going underground to find the oasis. They arrive and view the oasis’ majesty, but once they make their presence known Miltank calls for backup. Meowth translates for Miltank and mentions that this is a private Pokemon sanctuary without any humans. Team Rocket shows up and tries to steal the Pokemon of the sanctuary, but Meowth goes against their wishes along with Team Rocket’s Pokemon as they steal Miltank. Ash uses Cynadaquil, Bayleef, and Pikachu to send Team Rocket Flying and save Miltank.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Poliwrath! I love the idea of a Poliwrath being a bodyguard of sorts for a Miltank.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, their evil knows no bounds, except for in the movies.
One thing I learned: Even an oasis might not be worth visiting if it disturbs nature.
Who is that Pokémon?: Cyndaquil, legitimately a top-5 starting line don’t @ me!
Best Quote: “This is a mutiny!” -James, sometimes Pokemon have each other’s backs, even Meowth, Arbok, and Weezing.
Best Scene: Miltank’s Heal Bell curing the bump on Cyandquil’s nose.
