Summary: Oliver takes Lanturn and chases down the underwater base while Namba decides to separate Lugia parent from child. Namba goes on a rant about how power is everything and how nature needs to serve mankind and how people are superior to Pokemon,, so he has gone full Poke-facist here. Namba then takes Pikachu and Sparky and puts those headbands on. Meanwhile, Jesse and James use their clearance to try and take the Lugia’s for themselves, once Oliver breaks into the lab Jesse and James offer Oliver help so they can create chaos in the lab. Oliver breaks into Namba’s room and unlocks the vague our heroes are in, stops the Pikachu’s from being turned into evil Pokemon, and now they turn their eyes to Lugia. Namba hits the emergency button, Butch and Cassidy show up with their evil Houndour and Hitmontop, but electric sparks from the two Pikachu’s break the headbands. All of Team Rocket runs to Lugia’s room after hearing someone broke in.. but it is friendly fire from Jesse and James, now it is a Rocket on Rocket battle. Our heroes push to enter the room with Silver, but Namba and his angry Electabuzz have some serious power with Light Screen and Thunderpunch. Meanwhile, Butch and Cassidy in their battle with Jesse and James accidentally free Lugia from its electric constraints, uh oh. Sparky and Pikachu continue their battle against Electabuzz, breaking his headband with a two-pronged stagger Thunderbolt to the control panel Namba is holding and a Thunder to Electabuzz. Our heroes work together to free Silver, but Lugia is still on a rampage looking for Silver, who our heroes deliver to Lugia. Silver’s cries to its mom snap Lugia out of its rage and as rubble is about to fall on Richie and Ash it uses Safeguard to protect them and help them escape the Team Rocket Base which crumbles into the sea… leaving all of Team Rocket to drift away in the ocean. Our heroes, Oliver, and Luca all say goodbye to Lugia who exit for good, love a four episode arc with Lugia involved, off to Olivine… finally? Goodbye Richie!
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Jesse and James, misguided but they did set in motion the way to free Lugia and Silver.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Namba, I have a feeling we will see this creep again.
One thing I learned: Namba needs a new hairstylist and some sensitivity training.
Who is that Pokémon?: Exeggutor, I have never really liked this line, although I do like the egg concept.
Best Quote: “Brilliant use of the letter C” – James to Jesse’s alliteration, love it.
Best Scene: Lugia’s Safeguard, that green glow around it was pretty cool.
