Summary: Officer Jenny holds a funeral for our gang and Team Rocket, but not their Pokémon? That’s messed up. We cut to Ash waking up, defying the laws of gravity. Jessie and James are having a time at the beach, but it was only a dream, it was only a dream. Everyone is stuck on this ship together. The ship is leaking, luckily Misty has a tight grasp on Pokémon of the water persuasion. Goldeen finds Team Rocket drowning, and everyone is on the same team after a quick skirmish. The path out of this ship is beginning to resemble and M.C. Escher drawing, fires rage and spirits are low. Bulbasaur saves the day, and Jessie and James have a moment. Charmander plows a hole in the ceiling. And Squirtle, Starmie, and Goldeen help ferry our heroes. James employs his king of carp, but Magikarp cannot carry two human and a Meowth. Pokémon goes Christian, Brock pulls out the story of Noah and gets Pidgeotto (criminally, underrated) to find Team Rocket. Magikarp looks tasty, but the surprise is has in store is anything but appetizing. Gyrados!!!! Wait, is that Staryu’s music, HYUUUUUUUUUU. Gyrados is big mad, and decides to throw the whole sea at Team Rocket and the Gang. Where will our friends get blasted off to next?
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Bulbasaur, beautiful vine work.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Magikarp, it’s hard to expect much, but it really has no utility.
One thing I learned: Magikarp has zero payload
Pikachu-o-meter: 3/5, an average episode
Best Quote: “Gotta eat something, like flayed carp” -Ash and Brock
Best Scene: The Gyrados Dragon Rage
