Airdate: August 6th, 1998
Summary: An ad is running for a Pokémon Breeding Center in the city square. Ash and the gang check it out. There is lots of demand for these luxury suites. Misty is trying to give Psyduck away to change its attitude. After dropping off their duck, they run into a restaurant that gives free buffets if you show the chef his favorite Pokémon… a Psyduck. Misty is entering that breeding center at any cost even though it’s closed. It is eerily empty, what our gang finds in the backroom are all the Pokémon, crammed into cages. It turns out the people running this center are scammers, who are sending the choice Pokémon to their boss, Giovanni! Team Rocket and the gang both realize what is going on, the gang wanting to save the Pokémon and Team Rocket wanting to double-cross Butch and Cassidy. The duo catches Team Rocket, and tells them that Giovanni will be pissed if they ruin their scheme. Butch and Cassidy frame the gang (minus Misty and Pikachu) and Team Rocket who get arrested by Officer Jenny. Misty springs into action, and grabs Todd’s camera while getting her Psyduck back. Misty shows Officer Jenny the photos, but it might be too late. Bulbasaur and Pikachu catch Butch and Cassidy, get some ice cream, and say goodbye to Todd (for now).
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Misty, good work on that plan, and nice hat and jogging suit.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Butch and Cassidy, all the menace and none of the Jessie and James foreplay.
One thing I learned: Misty can pull off the baseball dad look.
Pikachu-o-meter: 4/5, nice work with Misty on their camera heist.
