Summary: Ash shows Prof.Birch his Pokemon, Corphish hits Birch on the head to say hello. May shows Silcoon to Birch who says it will become an awesome Beautifly. Brock shows Birch Lotad and Mudkip, Lotad’s derpiness is noticed by Birch. Birch and our crew run into some Seedot, and learn what makes them happy while he plays with them by rolling around on the ground. May learns how Birch chooses to learn about Pokemon. Team Rocket rolls up and uses Seviper’s Haze to try and steal the Seedot, Ash chooses Corphish to give a Vicegrip attack. Jessie sends out Cascoon but says it is SIlcoon.. Birch calls her on it and May sends out Silcoon. Birch acknowledges the differences in the eyes, they both use Tackle but Silcoon evolves into a Beautifly during the hit. Team Rocket gets blasted off, Brock gives it a jelly that he made in preparation for their evolution. May has Beautifly use Gust to keep a frisbee up that Birch gives her, the Seedot want them to find a new home. Jessie and Team Rocket land on a branch, James and Meowth are worried about Jessie’s mental state. Meowth and Cacnea try to help Cascoon battle enough to evolve, but it doesn’t do the trick yet. Birch finds Seedot a new place to live as Team Rocket arrives to challenge our crew to a battle to help Cascoon evolve. Jessie throws Cascoon in against Beautifly and its gust attack, James and Ash enter with Cacnea and Treecko. Treecko uses a Pound attack that misses, Brock’s Mudkips stops Meowth from taking the Seedot. Beautifly uses Tackle, so does Cascoon. Another gust onto Cascoon forces it to evolve… into a Dustox as predicted. Right when Dustox evolves James has a blanket on Dustox as Meowth flies like a Beautifly to distract Jessie. Jessie realizes that her Pokemon is a Dustox, and after a lot of self-examination she falls in love with Dustox. Beautifly and Dustox square up, Beautifly uses Gust and Dustox uses Psybeam as Ash sends out Corphish to help against Cacnea. Corphish sends Team Rocket flying with a Bubblebeam. Prof.Birch leaves and says goodbye to our crew.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Meowth and James, I love how much they put up with Jessie day in and day out.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Jessie, delusional and annoying about this particular issue.
One thing I learned: Jessie’s delusion knows no end.
Who is that Pokémon?: Wurmple, one of the best regional bugs by far.
Best Quote: “I don’t want to be around when that happens, woe is us”- Meowth and James, lamenting the nasty turn Jessie’s denial about Cascoon has taken.
Best Scene: Jessie realizing that she got a Dustox even though she caught a Wurmple and thought it would be a Silcoon and Beautifly.
