Summary: NOTE: A Japanese-only episode! But why? Well, because it is a Japanese television cancellation it is banned because it is 1) too sexually suggestive 2) causes seizures, or 3) is racist… the answer for this episode… racist! Jynx is in black-face and they didn’t correct this until later episodes.
Onto the episode where our heroes choose a path to the Ice Cave because it is the quickest. Team Rocket believes that the Ice Cave is the perfect place for a special plan to get Pikachu. Our heroes enter the cave, amazed by its brilliance, but scared by the slippage. They fall into two snowmen after a pitfall, the snowmen turn out to be Team Rocket, who spray our heroes with water to freeze them, Pikachu uses Thunderbolt and Politoed uses Water Gun to send them flying. Misty lashes out at Ash for choosing the Ice Cave because Brock is catching a cold.. I wonder if it’s because THEY ARE IN SHORT SLEEVES IN AN ICE CAVE. Brock says there is a Pokemon Center in the Ice Cave, as they observe a beautiful opening in the cave. They find the center, where Jynx is in the Chansey role. Brock’s fever causes him to hallucinate about being with Nurse Joy, Misty wonders if Joy or the cold is giving him a fever. They see a picture of the Orange Islands Joy who is her older sister. Joy explains that the Ice Cave is melting, but the Ice Pokemon like Swinub and Piloswine need a place to live, so they use a fridge to keep the cave frozen, Team Rocket schemes to steal it and make a Kakigori business.. Of course. Brock is still dreaming of Nurse Joy flirting with him.. This is getting awkward. He puts his hand out to grab Joy’s but it actually is Jynx… they kiss.. Now this is getting 1000% awkward. They both get over the awkwardness and Jynx helps Brock recover.. Moving on. The heat levels are rising rapidly, Joy worries it will crash the cave ceiling. They go outside and see that the relay from hot air to cold air is switched, so the tropical outside is getting cold and the cave is warming up, but our heroes and Joy fall into a trap. Our heroes get out and dislodge the cooler from being relayed outside, cooling the cave, but Team Rocket is headed towards the center to steal the Pokemon by exhausting them with heat. Jynx tries to stop them but collapses in the heat, so Brock comes out in his fever to help save it with his Geodude. Our heroes roll up on Piloswine to join the fight, using Totodile and Corsola to send them flying with the help of Pikachu, Piloswine, and Jynx. Brock says goodbye to Jynx.. no kiss this time thank god. Off to Blackthorn!

One thing I learned: Brock is a badass, saving Jynx during a fever is his Michael Jordan Flu Game.
Who is that Pokémon?: Jynx.. I mean Smoochum is cute but Jynx is not one of my favorites for obvious reasons.
