Pokemon Company
Airdate: December 22, 2000
Summary: Back in Big Town and back three years in real time, we get a prequel to the Pichu Brothers, two electric mice who love to play. They all call friends who want to play with them, including Magby, Smoochum, Wooper, and Teddiursa. Wooper gets tossed down their slide as they all try to slide down a pipe on their fort. The Pichu Bros. get mad at each other and they knock each other out, one of them lands on a skateboard and skates with Wooper through traffic, down a hill, and into the park. They almost get hit by a tree but an Azumarill saves them. The other Pichu misses his brother, while the one that got knocked out and down is mad. However, the park Pichu and Wooper try to get balloons from a man, but Pichu is too light and he flies away with the balloons. The other Pokemon try to retrace the steps of Pichu and Wooper, connecting with the Azumarill and following the balloon guy. Pichu finds his brother, but is chased by Houndour per usual as they fall into the river, but are saved by a Feraligatr. Once on land Houndour finds Snorlax who rolls onto Houndour… per usual. Pichu is holding onto the balloons still when a Pichu pokes them slowly. Magby gets Azumarill to alert them that the two Pichu Bros. are about to fight. Azumarill tries to stop the fight, but they knock each other out and hit Azumarill who is very mad, RIP the Pichu Brothers. Azumarill hits Smoochum who sends ice, mixing with Azumarill’s Water, making icicles which fall on Magby, who is now crafting the sculptures. Everyone is tired but realizes that in their anger they built a beautiful ice structure.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Azumarill, helpful but also keeps the babies in line.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Pichu Brothers, these two nuts are cute and very chaotic.
One thing I learned: The Pichu Brothers. Magby, and Azumarill need to start an ice sculpture business.
Best Quote: “Even the best of buddies sometimes fight” – bad Pichu Bros. song narrator… I mean true.. I just don’t like your voice much.
