Airdate: April 24, 2003
Summary: Our crew head to Granite Cave to seek adventure, and Steven Stone. Team Rocket are digging a hole in a cave, James wants to just initiate a battle directly. The cave has many paths and options, so Brock is putting markers to help follow a path back out of the cave. Steven keeps mining for stones with Aron, while the crew and Team Rocket all fall into separate holes within the cave. Ash/Brock/James, May/Jessie, Max/Pikachu/Meowth all form groups, Meowth hears from Max about Steven looking for treasure. The boys group hears something, they find a ton of Aron, James touches its head and it screeches for more to appear as they chase the boys. Steven happens upon the hole that Max and friends see as they see greenery and vines falling into the cave. Jessie is stuck in a hole and gets trampled on by a Loudred who runs away. Meowth tells Max the story of how he learned to talk, which Max doesn’t care to fully listen to. The boys make their way to where they first split up.. But fall into another hole. Pikachu smells Steven and Aron, while May and Jessie run to the entrance only to fall into the same hole the boys did. Both groups collide and are chased by the Aron as Max, Meowth, and Pikachu run into Steven Stone. They ask Steven to find their friends, Steven hears our friends screaming and has Aron use Roar to control the horde of Aron chasing our crew and Team Rocket. Now that everyone is free, Jessie and James send Seviper and Cacnea out to battle and try to steal Aron and Pikachu, Steven steps in with his Aggron to shut this down with a Hyper Beam. Steven’s Aron finds the Fire Stone he was looking for, he asks how his dad is and they part ways.
Best Trainer/Pokémon: Steven, helping everyone in trouble as Aron rampage through the cave.
Worst Trainer/Pokémon: Team Rocket, made a bad situation worse with incompetence, besides Meowth.
One thing I learned: Meowth is the best part of Team Rocket.
Who is that Pokémon?: Vigoroth! Here we go baby, Gen 3 Pokemon. This one has grown on me over time for sure.

Best Scene: When Aggron uses Hyper Beam against Team Rocket, one of the largest blastoffs of all time.
